Walking the Dog
For both the dog's exercise and our own, my wife and I walk the dog once or twice a day. The dog's temperamentis such that she must be on a lease around people. She, Tiffy is a good watch dog, but won't win any prizes for congeniality. The video shows her running around the neightborhood when she is unleased.

Our dog and cat had passed away recently and we wanted another dog. Having another cat would be a little to much for us at the time. Our daughter had some friends that had several dogs they wanted to get rid of and the price was right - free. We had planned for a lap dog, something like a chihuahua, but ended up with a mixed dog; mostly rat terrier. We attempt to take the dog, named Tiffy for a walk on a daily basis. This provides exercise to all of us and amusement as we watch Tiffy run around. The video demonstrates this. Her legs are disproportionant to her body so it's quite a sight to see her move about. We have to take our walks in an area void of people. Tiffy is not people friendly, in fact she nipped my sister. She is a great watch dog. When someone rings the doorbell, she goes ballistic, growling and jumping at the front door. We don't have solicitors that repeat their visits. Tiffy's appearance is misleading. She is small with short legs and a long tail, but she is extremely fast. I guess that in the old days the were able to catch rats, hence the name rat terrier. She lools like a harmless puppy, but growls at most anything. Where is the Dog Whisperer when I need him? All in all, Tiffy is a great pleasure to tho whom she likes and a nightmare to strangers.

I have met Tiffy several times and we seem to get along better each time.
