The Declaration of Independence

Forward by Richard Jackson

Audio by Simon & Schuster

From the The Giants Of Political Thought

This "Document" does not sound like much as we view it from the early twenty first century, or about 230 years after it was written. But shouldn't we look at the same document with a new title, "A Justification for Revolt" from England. Only the worlds superpower of that day.

It's true that we have LIFE, LIBERTY and we certainly freely pursue our HAPPINESS in great detail!

Are these inalienable or (not transferable) natural rights?

How did we come by this wonderful inheritance?

Are we still the only country to have a written contract with it's government using these words or do many imply or recognize natural rights?

Where our ancestors compelled to revolt by late 18th century political thought. How can we better understand who "They" were?

Why did they pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor to the principals behind this "Document".

You will need to use a small portion of that gray matter that you also inherited from your ancestors to grasp the value and scope of what you are about to hear. Even more frightening is that it might be our generation's turn to reaffirm this contract for our children.

Sit back and return with me to the late 18th century in America.

This is a two part audio file. Click on the left mp3 box for part one, the right mp3 box for part two. A picture slide show will run as the audios play.
