Open Source Can Make Money - Fact or Fiction?

I would not have a business if there was no open source software. Some of the major open source softwares that I use to build this website are 68 KB, Apache, CodeIgniter, Linux, MySQL, PHP... Many people ask me how can open source companies make money. Here is an example written by Matt Asay of a close source company makes more money by becoming open source - the Untangle experience.
