Blondie Brownie

Date April 20, 2010 | Print | Bookmark | Share | Email

I am almost helpless when it comes to cakes and cookies. My friend Debbie gave me some "blondies" yesterday. They were great and of course I have to have the recipe. I did not have a camera to take picture of these delicous blondies; next time. Here it is from Debbie's email today:

Duncan Hines Butter recipe cake mix

1 egg

1 stick of butter (softened not melted)

Stir with fork to make crumbly like bread crumbs.  DO NOT OVER STIR.

Put in bottom of 9 x 11 cake pan/glass casserole dish

Then mix:

1 block of cream cheese (needs to be softened)

2 eggs

16 oz powdered sugar

Stir, stir and stir

Pour on top of bread crumbs

Bake for about 45 min on 325 degrees.  Start watching after 30 minutes  you don’t want it giggly but you don’t want it over cooked either.  Let it cool completely before cutting into it.
